スパイ

仕事会議３回目。１回目は家のジャッキに電話２台つなげてみたけど音が小さくなっちゃって不採用。２回目（先週）はSkypeを使ってみたけど音が反響しちゃって不評。という事で今週はBoは家から、私は近所の公衆電話から会議に参加。普通の公衆電話だと屋外だからうるさい上に立ったままなので、ブースに入って後払い方式の電話サービスセンターへ。ノートを置けるカウンターもあるし、即興オフィスです。音もいいし他の参加者は私がこんな小部屋から電話してるとは想像もつかないでしょう。大通りを避けて選んだ場所だったけどやっぱり街は何があるか分からない。突如ものすごい音のパトカー、救急車が通りすぎる。しかもラッシュ時だからかなかなかいなくなってくれない。一生懸命電話口をふさいだけどやっぱりばれたらしい。「革命でも起こってるのか？」と建築家が言う。「前から思ってたけどやっぱり君たち二人はCIAのスパイなんじゃないのか？」えぇぇー？確かに特にBoは去年出張が多くて（韓国、イギリス、オランダ、ポーランド、モロッコ、スペイン等）いろんな所から電話会議に参加してるけどさ、そう来るとはね、、、ばれましたか。

SPY

Today is the third conference call day. Plugging in 2 phones into one jack at home made the sound too soft. Skype had too much echo. So today we go for the last resort. Bo stayed home and called in from the home-phone. I went across the street to a pay phone service center and also called in. This time, the phone worked fine and I even had a small work space of my own. In front of me was my address book, notebook, pen, bag and a toll meter. On the wall, phone charge chart for all nations around the world. Behind me, a grandfather buying icecream to a little girl. Suddenly a slue of cop cars and ambulances passes by. I covered the phone really tight, but too late. 'Is there a revolution going on ?' Architect, 'I always thought you guys were CIA spies.' No way ! But wait a minute. If you look at what we're doing, one calling in from an apartment totally hooked up with wi-fi, external hard drive, router, 2 phones and a 18-135 lens camera, another taking meeting notes from a phone booth, you may wonder... what are they doing ?
